This skylight project was an example of how 3D modeling has expanded the possibilities for what can practically be accomplished in skylight design. Even though the joint geometry was difficult the CNC files cut the parts so that assembly went
completely smoothly......we were amazed.

This is what the turtle dome looked like in the design software. Every element in its construction is represented with exact dimensioning. The glass and the steel were cut with CNC machinery.
