Old Navy

This 45' x 45' skylight was built over retailing space in the Old Navy store at Sixth Avenue and Eighteenth St. in Manhattan. The client required break in resistant glass. This glass consisted of
8 laminations of 1/8" glass, the panels ended up slightly thicker than an 1". If you watch the glass
test for our walk-on skylight you can see how multiple laminations behave when attacked with a hammer. The walk-on skylight was two laminations, this 8 layer panel resisted the hammer attack
in a surprisingly stubborn way.
